Is the Country Greece now in Melt Down?

Will it receive its EU bale-out package in time for Christmas?

Does Santa have something in his sack for the Debt ridden region?

What will the referendum outcome signal for this cash strapped nation?

Will they ever get to the position of such a vote, or will the army step in?

Any takers?

There's no way out of this mess without a lot of pain, probably for all of us.
This is what happens when politicians get big idealogical ideas.
They probably only created the Euro to force monetary and then inevitably political union.
It's always been the case that about half the voters in Europe are against more power to a centralised EU.
But what do I know I'm just an idiot voter that they treat with comtempt.
Rant over. (For now.)

Nice Rant Rob.

At least the People of Greece will get to vote on what their politicians are doing on their behalf, whereas the rest of Europe (the big players I mean) will not be doing that in any shape or form.

Looks like Germany and France are the pawn brokers here in this quagmire, and the Citizens of those countries (and others) do not get to say, whether all this bail-out money should go, and where its going to go, or not (as the case might be).

The whole situation is a mess. And that's the worst understatement I have ever made!  :sad2:

Referendums on EU matters.

If the voters give the wrong answer they are made to do it again until they give the right answer.

When this country voted yes in the 70's did we get a chance to change our minds. Don't make me laugh.

When Ireland voted against Maastricht.  Of course they did.

The promised Greek referendum is due to desperate internal political pressure.

Robert.
