10 by 4 labby method

As we all know the Labourchere method of betting has been around since the day after Roulette was invented.  The problem is that it can get out of control pretty easily.

In "The Monte Carlo Anecdotes" a clever method of taming the beast is to set up 10 mini labbys and play each one in sequence, 1 spin each.  If, after a while, you find that one or two of the labbys is getting too large, you can divide it/them into smaller labbys and continue on.  This is just to help keep your bet size managable.

First, I suggest that all we do is play the ten labbys until we reach a profit of +1 unit. 

If we start 10 labbys with 1 unit each, when we have cleared all of the labbys we will be up +10 units.  For safety's sake, I suggest that we shoot for +1 and any time we reach +1, we reset all 10 labbys to 1 each.  You don't have to stop at +1 and can continue to any amount up to +10.  Your choice.

Here's how we play the 10 labbys.  Play each one in sequence for 1 bet until you reach an overall balance of +1 or you have played all 10 labbys and are still in the hole.  Once you have completed 1 cycle without reaching +1, you play another cycle of all 10 labbys.  Any time you reach a new high bank balance of +1 or higher, you reset all 10 labbys.  You play 4 cycles.  At the end of the 4 cycles (that's 40 bets which happens to be the number of bets recommended by Project 202.  Coincidence I'm sure) you add up all the unrecovered units in each of the 10 labbys and divide them by 10.  This number becomes the beginning number of each of the labbys.  Any odd numbers will be added to any labbys you wish, but there can't be more than 1 unit separating the starting amount of any labby.


Let's say and the end of 40 bets, we total all the units remaining in the 10 labbys and they equal 32.  This means 1st of all that we are having a pretty bad run of luck.  It also means that we will begin our next set of labbys with 3 units each and 2 of them will have 4 units each.  Like the following:

Play the next 40 bets starting with the new numbers and keeping track so that if at any time you reach +1 or higher, you can reset everything to 10 labbys at 1 each.

It is true that the bets can get pretty large if you are having a really bad series, so you must set a realistic stop-loss.  I would recommend at least 200 units.  You can use less but must expect to reach your stop-loss more often.  If you use more, you will reach your stop-loss less often.  If you use 2,000 units as your back-up bank you will have to be the most unlucky person in the world to have a win to loss ratio that bad for that long.


Remember, we are eliminating almost 2 losses with every win.  Not exactly 2 because we begin with 1 which we have to recover and it's not a loss.  It's profit. 


Let me know what your thoughts are on this idea.  I know it can be a grind and a lot of work for a small return, but if the return is consistent, it may be worth the effort.


Option:  To keep the bets smaller, you can start out with two 1's beginning each labby, or three 1;s or more.  Each additional 1 you use in the beginning of the labby, the smaller your bets will remain for more spins.


Remember, when you end your 40 bets and divide you losses, it must be by 10 times the number of digits you start each labby with.  So if we start each labby with  1  1  1 , it means that when we end our 4 cycles and tally our losses, if we get something like 39, we should divide by 30 instead of 10 because we started with 30:

Always stretching a progression, can protect from hitting table limit, but it will not protect your bankroll. A numerous bet, even if they are not high, they ADD UP.

Once I played on EC on up with loss, one down at win, and had chose between give it up, or play it to end. I did the latter, it took a bankroll of 20000 units and very long time (weeks).

The lab is not safe, but if you reverse it, you lose slow, or in rare cases make a very good winning.

The best way to fail, is not to try!
