Test the accuracy of your method to predict the winning number. If it works, then your system works. But tests over a few hundred spins tell you nothing.

So I'm not the best math guy on the planet, everything I do is through trial & error. The long way Ken? I guess so.

Anyways, help me see this.......our max payout for the EC's is $500. (I never play the EC's, regardless)

So lets say you bet $500 on red. Your RISK is $500. The dealer said, if you wanted to NET more....bet $100 on all the reds ($1,800 bet) If you hit, your net is $1,800....which of course is more than $500.

....but we are RISKING $1,800 to do so. So which is the "better" bet? (makes no difference?)

Bet $500 to net $500

OR

Bet $1,800 but we net $1,800 ($3,500 gross).

your dealer was playing a little game called "I work for the casino"

You have to be the fastest responder on the board. (joking)

Dont forget, he may work for the casino but its not like he really cares what you're doing.

Maybe he was referring to getting around the table limits.

Hmmm, probably. Is it better to risk the $1,800 to net more?

The payout is still 1:1, so it's no different. You bet more, you risk more, you can win more, or lose more.

Ken

betting $1,800 or $500 depends on a couple of things,

1. can your BR take it ?

2. If it was single zero (which I doubt) then the EC offers the en prison rule, which WOULD make a difference.....

Steve is right, absolutely no difference, the same odds. He meant table limits, not better chances of course. Better or worse depends only on your pocket. How much you can afford and how much fun will you have. If you are rich and losing or winning 500 is nothing for you then 1800 is better of course.
