i've tried to find a betselection where progression could be used....this has proven to have a decent hitrate:

trigger: wait until 2 streets in one dozen has been hit, bet the other 2 unhit streets in that dozen, with progression.

2 streets progression:
1 1 1 1 1 2 2 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 10 12 14 17 21 25 30 36 43 52 62 74 89 107 128 154 185 222

This is as good as playing martingale. Even a full dozen can stay sleeper for 36 spins. It seems members have got tired of neo insane approaches to play and opting for old classic fallacies.

A drop of over 3000 units is a good indication of a problem
There's only one way forward, follow random, don't fight with it!

Ignore a thread/topic that mentions 'stop loss', 'virtual loss' and also when a list is provided of a progression, mechanical does NOT work!

ignatus

im tired of this argument, that progression cannot be used and everybody is scared when they see a drop, well? there is no way around it, you have to be prepared to go a long way in progression, still, i didn't bust from my 1000-spin test....so? what's the deal? take a risk for the better good in the long run

I think the argument is that you are promoting a method most people would never consider playing with real money.  The graphs look great except for the gargantuan draw downs (always a catch isn't there?).  Would you play through those with real money on the line?  Would you continue to up a bet to the degrees you illustrate if you were actually laying those bets? Is there a point where you draw the line and stop the attack or flatten out the progression...maybe even reduce the running bets?  Not in this proposed method.

So...Would you play that progression with real money?  Do you go beyond 222 units?  If you are in a real casino and not playing pennies on a computer this gets too expensive (risk vs return) and you will normally exceed table limits in a real casino if they will let you bet $1 units.  If you are on $5 units do you really want to risk that kind of money for that return?  Would you?

I don't pretend to speak for most people as I play considerably different than most myself...but most would agree that if you are going to use a progression it just can't get that aggressive.  Common sense dictates a different approach to money management.

Some people abhore progressions in the first place and as soon as they see a progression they are turned off by it...I am not afraid of progressions and think that both positive and negative progressions have their place.  But they need to be thought out.  Consider the bet selection and the tested hit rate...consider the table limits...bankroll...profit vs risk.  From the outside looking in it appears you simply gear a progression to bail your butt out of trouble hoping and praying that a single win will do it.  If you've played enough real roulette for long enough you know that approach is going to cost you a bankroll.

It seems like it's been years now and every once in a while you show a glimmer of hope...then you abandon whatever method or philosophy actually looked like it may be playable to get on with the next new shiny toy.

Do you read other posts?  There are people who think things through all over these forums...they may not always have the same philosophy some are heavy into EC's, others dozens and columns, others straight up, wheel sectors, felt sectors, many are very conservative with money management and grind it out, others go a little more aggressive...there's alot of good info out there...it's what you do with it and how you apply it that matters.

I read most of the posts (even yours) to see if there is a shred of information that could be applied to what I do and somehow enhance it...is there a small nugget of information that makes me see something from a different angle or makes that proverbial light go on...something that sparks a new way of approaching a problem.

ok,...i agree, i have to reconsider this progression-thing, and this one is too crazy i admit, i will use notpad from now on, ok (sorry!)

Ig - Stop losses, SL's, usually prevent large drawdowns. Simple, effective & easy to insert/implement. SL's as in nil money Virtual bets & rebetting on a Vb win trigger real money.  Have you tried your plays with that ? In order to win you must 1st stop the losing in any play method.

And dont forget, that huge drop was while in profit. It could of happened immediately, then what, keep going? Not insulting you, just sayin.

Watch us big doggs, the MEN, play at a REAL casino, on a REAL table. All we ask is that you stay out of our way. The rest? Bots, airball, RNG...that's more for the Kitty Kat Klub. Its the big doggs and the kittens!! Winning is not an event, it's a process and it takes YEARS and YEARS to master > link:://:.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/2014127/rs_560x415-140227131132-1024.bulldog-kittens3.jpg... To be great, you have to be willing to be mocked, hated and misunderstood.

Do you go beyond 222 units? Easy doing it on paper.[/col

Right on the nail.
Do you read other posts?  I don't think so as can't find his comments in other ppl.threads, only his own.

No hard feelings Ignatus.......there is no method that could possibly beat the game on the long run,but there are players that constantly come on top.....How come?????...

" It seems like years now..." Just on checking only since Aug 2012.    That's 19 months & 1561 posts = around 19 posts per week average.
That would have to be some sort of Forum record ?

I feel that some of the criticism on CC to IG is overly harsh, like how much different are many of Ig's post ideas as in forum contribution (not neccesarily in content) compared to Proofreaders stuff ? A lot of PR's stuff is on the road to nowhere too but he doesn't get any or only minimal critique for his prolific postings ?

I too are not insulting here, just sayin'.

Even tough most people would never even test the methods posted, they are still good to catch ideas, so I  don't mind them coming.
It's very easy to create a "winning systems", just play around at testmystrategy.com, and you'll see. The problems are always the huge drawdowns.

Here is Lorhno's doublestreet progression: (49 units per one unit base)

1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,5,6,8,10 (stop)-you could start @ 0.50 units each street.

Also try a "Hit-n-Run" style of play.  Twenty-minute break on
the same wheel between sessions or change wheels each new session.
