Well, it snowed in Oklahoma and I can't landscape and I'm bored so I'm back for a while.  Maybe even a while and a half!

Anyone had a look-see at this method? 

I've spent a few hours reading his post and looking at his chart and I can't get the two to jibe. 

If anyone would like to join me in a study of this method, perhaps we could help each other.

each time an imaginary bet is won at step 1, i bet for real on the next spins until i lose then i revert to the virtual mode.

This is from Arte's post.  Here is where I'm unclear.  I read him saying that if he wins the virtual bet, he bet continuously until he loses.  The he returns to betting on the 1/2 method until he gets a win on the 1.

IF that is what he is saying, I can find no example of that in the chart.

rte was  faced with  high table limits at the Casino Montreal and  he   wanted to  protect his bankroll. He was not going to a casino  just" playing to play.


He  went home  a winner after all..

It seems to me this is an adaptation of Parrondo's Paradox.  Arte is playing two loosing games and claiming to have a winner overall.

If you can use this method to reduce the overall variance, then you could use something like the Penthouse progression + a strong MM strategy.

For MM you could use a basic Martingale (move up on a loss = 100 units - 200 units - 400 units - 800 units). It's a bit aggressive, but if you can control the variance, then it wouldn't matter anyway.

The idea is to stack so many statistically improbable situations together, that to lose would basically be like getting struck by lightening!

Arte includes a progression--a quite limited one.  Before I do any "tweaking", I will learn his method completely to see if he has anything.

 Sam,Artie seems to go virtual after a real win or loss. I spent some time on first page results. He does not keep going even after a win,at least on that page. He also goes virtual at the first start of the 9 cycle series. Sam a lot of tracking between spins.
