My family lives down south

Down there they dont have delis

So sometimes I ship my father NY deli rolls so he can make the famous NY egg sandwich

It's a deli here on Long Island that vacuum seals the rolls so they stay fresh and ships them worldwide

Anyway, the deli owner is selling a roulette book on his website, lol

All my dads family moved to Queens near Flushing Meadow. I went when I was 9 and 15

My family is from forest hills.

Now flushing is all korean

Im 30 miles east in the burbs

People think NY they think city. Meanwhile upstate can be as rural as montana. Lol

I wouldnt live in the city if you paid me. 30 minute train ride.

My bedroom overlooked the runway at JFK.

For an English 9 year old in 1972 it was like going to Mars.

The heat, the subway, bagels!!, more than 1 flavour of icecream lol, Air conditioning, enormous cars...with air conditioning.

Had no idea what MacDonalds was. The ham burglar!!! what was all that about?

TV with more than 3 channels. Laundry rooms. Basements. Wire garden fences, Buildings higher than 2 stories. Weird accents. Weird TV. Weird telephone rings. Weird football
