A dollar won is twice as sweet as as a dollar earned

Steve

Its one of my income sources. I mean actual play, not selling. I could easily rely on it alone, but considering time dedicated, and the intensity/stress of it all, there are many much better options to make a living, like passive income that makes money without ongoing work.

Theres much more to professional play than youd think when its larger scale. For me the hardest part is team coordination.

Still a novel and fun way to profit. But like anything it can get old. I suggest only aiming to subsidizing existing income. Very few players rely on it exclusively. The income is often erratic. The main limitation comes from casino surveillance.

But if you are happy with $1000/week avg thats easily done as an average. Just its not a weekly paycheck. You will have losing days too. And days with difficult conditions. But the easy days make up for it.

Overall i dont recommend it to most people. Most players dont have the right mindset.

Great, Steve !
Your talk should inspire a lot of newbies here, well basically there is nothing wrong if one tries to profit from gambling, but there is huge difference between steady profit and temporary profit, newbies get excited when Lady Luck smiles at them, they think they can go high by risking too much, obviously there is a trap here, they would lose all and become depressed, greedy and desperate.

So moral of the story, if you want to make a living from gambling, be Realistic, treat it as your business

If you bet roulette systems you have no chance to make a living.

Hi Steve,
That's the most realistic approach. My goal is to make gambling one of my sources. But you are right, true passive income comes from investments that are reliable sources - fixed interest/shares/property if you can afford one. Your best approach is to use gambling income as a source to your investment capital. But you need to build a fund to be used soley for gambling and not blow it in one sitting. So treating gambling as a business is the only way to stay in the game. Have a plan on each casino visit. Goals - amount to risk, profit/stop loss, time spent and sessions played.
I am working on building my bankroll and looking for bet selections and casino games to achieve my goal. Currently have a day job to support my day to day needs but in the long term it will be good to replace this with investments and gambling revenue.

Cheers,
Ricky

Fun question. The most important thing is how many answers are you going to trust.
