I've noticed the people here fall into several distinct groups.

1. The physics and maths guys, who tend also to be advantage players, exploiting small chinks in physical casino procedure to give themselves an edge.

2. The system players.  These people advocate the gambler's fallacy and negative progressions to give themselves  an income, while risking the lot when it all blows up, when it eventually, inevitably does. Often problem gamblers, desperately trying to find a winning staking play to recover their losses.

3. The scammers. These people are continually claiming to have found the holy grail of a pure staking system which always wins. But they never seem to want to use it themselves! Rather, they spend their time hawking and selling their "discoveries" to the more desperate members of group 2. Once a system is exposed, or they've  sold some, and burned a few punters, it's time for the next best ever. Yes, I really did see you coming!

4. The gurus. These people have supposedly found a sure way to win by maths and staking or just numerology. But they never actually say how. They just make a few vague statements and then answer any questions with more questions or riddles or some unrelated philosophy. Their favourite replies are "Seek and you will find" "The answer was there all along" "Look at the patterns and you will find the way" "I've given it away already, I'm not saying any more" etc etc.

5. The confused and bewildered newbies. These people have no idea about maths, physics, staking systems, probability theory, gambling, or casinos. But that's not going to stop them making easy money! They're happy to seek the advice of any of the first four groups, generally whoever shouts the loudest, and since they have no clue to start with, they're happy to soak it all up. The good, the bad, the stupid, and the downright dangerous.

6. The all-rounders.  Often quite knowlegable about maths and probability, they dabble with 2, but know it likely won't work. Willing to give anything else a try if it seems reasonable.

Do you belong to a group? Are there any other groups you've noticed?

7. The Enigma Group.

Forum members who fit within, and/or are a blend of groups  1 2 3 4 & 6 and in no particular order.

Mostly mistaken for trolls, and usually post with a healthy dose of humour. Sometimes helpful, and sometimes downright rude.

Nobody can ever really figure out why this group does what they do, or even why they're here at all.... That's the magic of forums.

You've just found group 8, the Precogs!

The General

I think you could add another group.

9. The antivaxers.  The group of people that believe there's a conspiracy to keep the roulette game holy grail a secret.  Such people believe vaccines don't work and are part of a gov conspiracy.  They think that 911 and the moon landings were fake, etc.

Let Me Win

Mr Firefox as you're an intelligent and logical man would you like to say anything about the double slit experiment in relation to Roulette?

Something along the lines of could watching the roulette wheel whilst it's spinning have any relation to which number is eventually spun?

Just as a theoretical discussion.

The General

Playing the game changes the game.
