Progression bets are nothing more than different size bets on different spins. You could get lucky and win big, or unlucky and lose even more.

Question being......are there any uncertainties with your roulette play? I can list 3 for myself, I am not 100% sure of these. I sometimes find myself changing my viewpoint (LoL). Do you have any? Here are my 3, in no order >>

A) Virtual betting.
B) Using past numbers.
C) Hit and run.

Watch us big doggs, the MEN, play at a REAL casino, on a REAL table. All we ask is that you stay out of our way. The rest? Bots, airball, RNG...that's more for the Kitty Kat Klub. Its the big doggs and the kittens!! It is supposed that all 3 are uselles (gamblers fallacies)

This is my opinion(and roulettes opinion that still exists in casinos for 400 years as a money maker machine for the casino favour)

I play a type of "hit and run".  Not the type where a person is under the false impression they can always leave while they're ahead.  First you must get ahead and it must be enough to make your time somewhat worthwhile.

When I play for real--myself, no robot--I look at how things are going.  Are they going well or really, really well.  If they're going too well, I get out.  Why?  I know from experience they will change.  Some may call that hit and run.  I don't.

If things are going really, really bad I assume they may be going bad for hours.  I try to claw my way back to where I was and then get out.  If I can get even, I won on this day.  If I ever make it to even and then stay and go down again and then make it to even a second time--if I don't get out I'm a fool.  The numbers are trying to talk to me.

When things are sort of bouncing back and forth, win/lose, and so on, I might stay for hours.  I use a progression that keeps me inching up slowly.  (+1 on loss/-1 on win)

I'm sure you've developed that "feel" for when to stay or go.  Most good players have.  It's hard to define.  Maybe it's my female side's "woman's intuition"!

As stated above, the 3 you mention are grey areas or fallacies IMHO currently @BV NZ I am sort of working with whats currently happening and what's happened, using a +1 on a loss progression until ahead alternating between R/B and columns 1+2 for black or 1+3 for red as they contain the most of each colour, so far in real money I am at just over 1000 units (pennies LOL) playing streaks against singles etc using a tracker only, as this just isn't possible to bot, automate, I do however run auto spin to get away for a bad run if I get to 5 units then will switch to the columns to recover but only for the colours they contain, I don't virtual bet as it's pointless waiting for a 'virtual loss' just move along the flow until it looks ok to jump back in, I am probably betting 99.9% of the spins as the odds are still 50/50.

Hit n run; well, as I am playing manually I set a target of 50 units as it can take about 30 minutes with 1 cent chips, but last night I targeted 100 units which took just about 50 minutes, as BV has new rules ofr their 10% cut 100 units means I have to get 110 ahead or there abouts.

Using past number; sort of but instead of the numbers i am looking at the patterns that are currently appearing and making my decision from that.

So all 3 will probably remain grey areas for everyone as we all use each but in differing formats.
There's only one way forward, follow random, don't fight with it!

Ignore a thread/topic that mentions 'stop loss', 'virtual loss' and also when a list is provided of a progression, mechanical does NOT work!

1) Bankroll management
2) Capitalisation plan
3) Staking plan
4) ROI - Return of investment
5) Bet selection

If i could figure out does elements i would change my VB into systems.
Then i would know what kind of expectation i would have in the long run.
Denial of gamblers fallacy is usually seen in people who has Roulette as last option for a way to wealth, debt covering and a independent lifestyle.  Next step is pretty ugly-
AP - It's not that it can't be done, but rather people don't really have a clue as to the level of fanaticism and outright obsession that it takes to be successful, let alone get to the level where you can take money out of the casinos on a regular basis. Out of 1,000 people that earnestly try, maybe only one will make it.

Skakus

1) Win goal/Stop loss. Should we bother?
2) Limited progression or progress to the table limit.
3) Bankroll size.
4) Drink alcohol while playing or not.

Big bankroll, and  be prepared to risk it without any regret.
Stop loss is in most cases the bankroll.

Yes....my uncertainty is me....and getting too jiggy. I'll try any idea that uses 3 or 4 chips. The idea is irrelevant.

Its about Nature not Nurture. Roulette is natural. We can't nuture any idea that will match what it does naturally.
When we get what we want, we get a lift which is a reward. When we win at roulette, its our reward for all our efforts. We get Jiggy and think we can take on the world. Like when we get drunk or high.

Gambling is an addiction which gives a reward high. We act as silly as if we were drunk.

When I start....I always change my money into £5 cash chips and place it in my right pocket.

I then buy table chips of 50p with this right pocket money.
When I am winning....I always refuse the big tower of chips they slide over to you. I always ask for cash chips which are £5 and what's left in 50p chips. I've never placed a £5 chip in my life.
they go in my pocket. Left pocket casino money. Right pocket mine. Table chips on the table.

casino money is priority. Always play casino money first. As soon as the left pocket is empty, its a wake up call

its a mind trick.

Slap the legs now and again. You can see where you are up to.

don't take a wallet into a casino.

(last week i won £40 and kept it in a jar at home. This week I took the same £40 to the casino and changed it into £5 chips but put it into the left pocket. its casino money)

Ralph

This  trick  may save you that week, may be better for the coming sessions, a kind of audit of the temporary  situation. The only way I can think is has bearing, is you reduce the risk, and in case of failure, get new money payday.

If you play once a week, you are straight right, but not if you play more or less every day.
The best way to fail, is not to try!
